In an effort to preserve more of my assets I have decided to start cooking more often. I love cooking, but as of late I have been short on time, so I have been eating things that are ready quicker, and eating less.
My problem was that I was thinking about it wrong, I was thinking: “I do not have time to cook.” Instead I needed to think, “Where can I find time to cook?” I always cook in big batches and eat whatever it is that I cook throughout the week. But I need to start making specific meals.
Last night I finally bought a new Slow Cooker, I fell in love with them during college, while making chili. Todays recipe is a Pepsi Roast.
- 3lb Roast (I used Angus Top Round)
- 16oz of Pepsi
- 1 Packet dried Knorrs Onion Soup Mix
- 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1/2 a Diced Onion
- Handful of Baby Carrots
- Handful of Baby White Potatoes
Throw it all in the slow cooker on
LOW HIGH for 6 hours and it should be good to eat.
